Instagram stories are a more temporary format of sharing content on IG. You can share any type of content – photos, videos, text, etc. – BUT it disappears 24 hours after you hit publish.
It’s not as “professional” as traditional feed posts and allows you to be a bit more transparent with your audience. You can show them behind the scenes of your life, projects, or YOU (which is just as important as sharing your latest interior design work).

I love Instagram stories because there’s not one specific type of content that performs better – it’s a mix of everything. Videos, photos, and adding stickers for engagement… they all combine to make interesting stories that your audience loves to binge (vs. skip).

The Easy Way to Show Up on Instagram Stories as an Interior Designer
It’s all about starting slow and getting consistent before anything else. You don’t have to hit publish on every single story from this list tomorrow – or even this week.
Pick ONE story prompt per day. Once you’ve shown up for the next 15 days (or 15 business days, rest IS a necessity), then start thinking about publishing multiple things or creating more curated stories to market your offers.
